Process & Pricing
Your first step is a 30 minute video consultation with Dr. Naomi Press. This meeting helps us understand what brings you to seek treatment at this time. We review your history, how the concerns began, and how they are affecting daily life. We also discuss what has already been tried, including therapy, medication, and school or workplace supports.
We then clarify your goals and define what meaningful change would look like for you. This consultation helps determine whether brain based assessment and neurostimulation would be appropriate for you.
To ensure accurate readings, we apply a small amount of conductive gel at each sensor site. The gel simply helps the sensors detect your brain’s signals more clearly. It does not put electricity into your brain. The EEG only records activity that your brain is already producing.
The process is painless and noninvasive. You will be asked to sit for 10 minutes with your eyes open and 10 minutes with your eyes closed. You will then be asked to complete simple computer-based tasks while we continue to map your brain. The entire process typically takes about 60 minutes.
Following your appointment, your EEG and ERP data are carefully processed and analyzed using advanced quantitative methods. The personalized report you receive integrates resting EEG findings, task based ERP responses, network level patterns, and comparisons to age matched normative databases. The report explains areas of strength and areas of dysregulation in clear, understandable language, while also providing detailed technical interpretation when appropriate. These findings are then used to guide individualized recommendations for treatment.
Your sessions are guided by your individualized brain map and may include neurostimulation, neurofeedback, or a combination of both.
During neurostimulation, small electrodes, magnetic coils, and light emitters are placed on specific areas of the scalp and deliver gentle electrical stimulation, pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation and low level light therapy. Sensations are typically mild. Some people notice light tingling, warmth, or gentle pulsing, while many feel very little at all.
During neurofeedback, a soft EEG cap is placed on your head, similar to the one used during brain mapping. A brief baseline recording allows the system to calibrate to your brain’s current state. You then watch a movie or engage with simple visual or audio feedback while your brain activity is monitored in real time. As your brain shifts toward more regulated patterns, the feedback reinforces those changes. The learning happens naturally through repetition, without effort or strain.
In both types of sessions, you remain awake and comfortable. There is no sedation and no downtime. Most sessions last between 40 and 50 minutes, and you return to your normal daily activities immediately afterward.
